High performance Vibram XS GRIP climbing rubber is great for long wearing grip, good shape stability, edging, durability, and excellent performance in all around climbing conditions.

The unique width of the heel rubber enables this area to have the perfect balance of rigidity for maintaining solid heel hooks while allowing sensitivity and just enough flex.
The unique single strap velcro closure gives you the freedom to change the direction of tension from ankle to mid-foot area to the base of the forefoot.
The fishhook midsole is composed of a proprietary pressed fiberboard creating a semi-stiff toe while the rubber outsole maintains the mountain goat shape of Torque RV allowing for flexion in the midfoot while also releasing pressure.
Durable and comfortable, the unlined vegan microsuede upper features an elastic integrated tongue and pull tab.
The shape of the toe is ideal for precise footwork. The rubber is thick enough to feel stable but thin enough to maintain sensitivity.

We’ve spent the last two years (and maybe a little longer) concepting, designing, and sampling with Fred Nicole – a true climbing hero and expert in the field.

Non-stop meetings with Fred, including joining him in Switzerland, as well as factory visits during line production and frequent, in-depth communication with our manufacturers were imperative to ensure all the details were there.

It was important to get the technical aspects spot on whether you’re climbing indoors, competing, or out in the elements. Our new shoes models have endured rigorous testing from indoor and outdoor climbers.

Absolutely love this shoe. I'm old enough to remember when So ill came on the scene with their crazy holds and cool name, and I'm so happy to see they've come out with a line of shoes. I've been wearing the Sportiva Solution for quite some time now, but after shredding yet another dyneema strap heel hooking I decided to look elsewhere. This Torque shoe is, in my opinion, a better version of the Solution. It's more comfortable, more sensitive with a better closure design. And that soft material is like butter. It's sooo soft. I love it. And love the level of sensitivity. Not too soft but not so stiff you can't feel what you're on.
As far as size goes, I'm a bit old school, so like my shoes really tight, and had to go a 1/2 size below my street shoe in the LV version, and may consider another 1/2 size on my next pair, but that's just me.
As for climbing, I've now climbed on plastic, completely overhanging rock and slightly overhanging rock with these and think they preform incredibly well in all those environments. Especially the very steep. Thank you, So Ill, for giving us another option for climbing shoes.
Definitely my new favorite shoe! To startI love how sticky the rubber is. Great edge for standing on small holds, also great toe hook and heel hook capabilities! Quite comfortable for a high performance shoe. Love the color!
I’ve brought two pairs of these shoes. These are great for the gym. They were not so comfortable climbing outside for long periods.
Pros:
- easy to break in: I could climb comfortably on my first climb with a new pair of
- variation in Velcro closure position: I can adjust the angle of how the shoe velcros, which has helped me have a super secure heel for overhung heel hooks, but I can also Velcro the show in a more relaxed way
- narrow heel: the heel is narrow, and therefore fits me. Other LV shoes still have gaps in my heel
Cons:
- it felt like the rubber wore out fast. My first pair wore out after three and a half months of climbing 2-3 times a week, plus an outdoor weekend. The walls at the gym are gritty, which doesn’t help.
This shoe took me by surprised. It's one of the more comfortable climbing shoes I've had. Unlike other aggressive shoes, the Tourque LV is comfortable enough to keep on during entire sessions without needing to take them off. It's durable, holds up well to repeated indoor use, and is a solid choice for climbers seeking precision and comfort. It's well worth the investment and I would highly recommended it to other climbers.
I have narrow feet and find many climbing shoes uncomfortable. These seem to fit perfectly
I went half size down from street shoe and the fit is perfect. Definitely the best fitting heel I’ve had. Just finished breaking them in with a mix of indoor and outdoor climbing and they perform in both environments. Enough downturn to hold tension but super comfortable once you get them on. I expect them to soften up a bit more with time but edging and smearing are both excellent. Toe hooks are amazing and the heel is the best I’ve used. Haven’t worn them enough to know about durability but the quality is high so I don’t expect any issues. Also the best looking shoe I’ve seen if that matters. Would recommend
I got these to help improve my heel hooks, since other shoes were too loose there. These solved that problem without sacrificing comfort in the toe-box. My street shoe size is 10.5 and these fit nicely in 11.

Just the shoes don’t seams to be very durable how it can last .
Hello,
When will size w8, w8.5 be stocked?
There is a button on the product page that says "Email When Available" - I would suggest clicking that. We have it setup so that people that have signed up to be notified are alerted to restocks as soon as they hit our inventory. Thanks!
