super stoked by how many holds they sent, mixed emotions about the types, my 10x12 board doesn't go higher than 55 degrees so like half the holds i got are basically impossible to use for hands at that steep of overhang. once I get some volumes on the board it won't be an issue, I had just hoped for more holds i can use now on a flat board..will definitely be buying the next mystery box i see available 😀

Bought 8 mystery boxes over the past 4 years and what a treat it has been for our boys.

Bought our first box when they were 1 and 2. Figured it was better to invest in some nicer multi use holds then the standard plastic kids jugs and it’s paid off!

The boys are now 5 and 6 and we’ve had the opportunity to set routes that have helped develop pretty well rounded climbers.

We did also buy a lot of holds from our local gym (a lot of which were old school SoIll holds) so having these new holds really added a lot of flavor to the routes we got to set!

This is perfect to add a little variety for my home wall without breaking the bank. Even got a few mini baby heads!

I got two mystery boxes, and I wish I got a third! Super sweet additions to my board. It was a good mix of more positive holds and more challenging holds. Fortunately, not overloaded with footholds, and the ones that were included were cool. Some arrived with a little chalk, but it was basically impossible to tell what made any of them seconds. Can't wait for the next time they're available.

The first 2 boxes I bought had so much variety of holds and families. However, to my disappointment, the 3rd box only had system holds and no family holds. I was expecting a variety of holds from various families but I guess you get what you gamble.

Really pleasantly surprised by the diversity of holds in the mystery box. All were in stellar condition - essentially new. Really excited to get these up on my 45 degree wall.

These are my second and third boxes of mystery box seconds. All of the hold I have received have been in great condition with no issues at all. Packers do a good job of sending small groups of holds that can be a route. I felt super lucky that these two boxes worked together perfectly even though I bought them a week apart .

Got an e-mail from So iLL that the mystery box seconds were back in stock. Clicked it immediately, made my purchase, it was sold out again in 10 minutes and I was so proud! The holds themselves were great. I got an amazing variety. Good mix of larger holds, smaller holds, feet. No major imperfections. For the most part it was the mixing of colors, but they were patterned so nice in a way that I actually prefer them to solid colors :) Amazing purchase! Just what was advertised, a random selection of holds. Definitely some I wouldn't have bought for myself but am glad I have! All the holds I got were in ready to use condition with no finishing needed.

The Mystery Box seemed like too good of an offer to turn down. But would the holds be any good? The kids and I were so excited to open the big box once it arrived. While I was hoping for a really random hold, I'm definitely happy with what arrived. We are working on a climbing wall in our garage and what we received is perfect for starting. The holds have good texture and some can be rotated to be either slopers or jugs. I think the color variations are something that make the mystery box extra special. Why wouldn't you want wild colors like these on your home wall?

I'm definitely going to buy another box once our wall is finished.

It's like Christmas morning when opening a box of 2nd mystery! I received a wide variety of excellent holds, all of which were in great shape. A few color spills, but nothing non climbable. The greatest surprises were 2 Wrecktangles! I can't wait to put these dudes up!
