  • A rental that’s too good to be a rental. Designed with Fred Nicole on a flat last with a slightly downturned toe, Start RV is a shoe for beginners, but we’re calling it a performance rental shoe. Originally designed as a rental option for climbing gyms, Start RV has the shoe size laser-etched into the heel rand and includes snaps on the pull tabs to keep the pairs united while in storage. This model features a single piece, unlined, durable + comfortable vegan microsuede upper with a padded mesh tongue and elastic band for easy entry. The closure is a single z-strap to keep things simple. The midsole is comprised of a proprietary pressed fiberboard extending from toe to heel to provide stiffness/support. There is a break point in the heel tension rubber for increased comfort as well as a second toe rand rubber layer for increased durability/longevity. The outsole is composed of a proprietary rubber and includes a split for flexibility, making it a great shoe for all types of climbing.
