I got these as bouldering shoes because of the collapsible heel, and they're working well in that role.
Love the quality and comfort of the shoe. Built very nicely and the shoes are much nicer (like a dress shoe) that I expected. I mean, I'm still wearing mine to gym because of the solid foundation but they are definitely a versatile shoe that I look forward to wearing. Sizing is good and true to my usual.
Recently picked a pair up for my wife. She really likes the fit and overall comfort. The extra grip is a huge plus considering she was rocking vans before. Sizing seems pretty spot on and other than longevity (haven’t had them long enough yet) they are a pretty rad light approach/setting shoe.
These shoes are killer! Off you're on the fence just buy them! That are really worth it! This is the first pair of shoes that I don't have to untie to get them on my feet. You tie them snug once and then they slip right on and hug your feet! I can't wait to try them out for setting once we build our climbing gym.
I figured that these would be just like other low-profile approaches, but it's excels at certain points.
- material feels solid
- cork footbed is surprisingly spongey (doesn't feel like it will peel away as easily as other cork products I own)
- Rubber feels grippy
- Best factor: Heel is super easy to slide on and off
- The heel has no grip. Testing routes with heelhooks in it are uncomfortable and the shoe feels like it could slide off easy on them.
