I figured that these would be just like other low-profile approaches, but it's excels at certain points.
- material feels solid
- cork footbed is surprisingly spongey (doesn't feel like it will peel away as easily as other cork products I own)
- Rubber feels grippy
- Best factor: Heel is super easy to slide on and off
- The heel has no grip. Testing routes with heelhooks in it are uncomfortable and the shoe feels like it could slide off easy on them.
Awesome purchase and great product. As comfortable as they come with reliable sticky rubber for any of your plastic pulling to outside pebble wrestling. Great customer service too, y’all rock !
I’ve had the for about a week now... and I love them! They are very comfortable! A little heavier than I’m used to, but most of my shoes are running shoes, so that’s not hard to do 😂
The shoe feels comfortable on your feet, it's great!
It's all around use for (me) walking, climbing (easy ones) and building.
Just looks great.
I am a commercial route setter and I highly recommend these shoes to any other setters on the fence! The rubber is great, they're super comfy and not nearly as bulky as other approach shoes. The shoes perform great on steeper routes, edging is no problem at all. Slab performance is great as well. A huge plus for these is that they toe hook far far better than any other shoe I have used for setting. On the flip side of that coin, the heel can be painful since the collapsible nature (while usually great) offers pretty much no cushion. However, this is my only gripe with the shoe and it is rarely anything more than an inconvenience. If you are a setter for a living, I can not recommend these more.
