  • The Free Range Pro is next level. We’ve taken all the things you love about the original Free Range and changed some technical features to improve performance. We started by making a stiffer toe box and adding rubber to the toe to increase toe hooking capabilities. The Free Range pro also offers a split outsole for flexibility, along with a stiff midsole for better heel hooking, to keep you confident on all those projects requiring extreme foot precision.

Favorite daily shoe

This model is my favorite daily. I have the previous in lime green too and new version largely feels the same. Soill stiff is still relatively soft. This buckle style is nice for quick on and off. I have a slightly wide foot (solid e in men's widths) but this shoe fits me well at a half or fill size up depending on how tight. Heel cup fits pretty snug despite not having any elastic around the ankle, I can still do casual heel hooks even without velcroing the buckle down. Super comfy. Also gotta love a vegan shoe. 5 stars.

the best climbing shoes that I have ever had!

They are a perfect combination between comfort and great quality. The hook and the heel hook and amazing and although they look very asymmetric they are super comfortable.

I love them!

Upped my climbing

These shoes were my first aggressive wear. It took no time for me to get adjusted to them and they provided a huge advantage in cave and overhang climbing. Never felt better control with my footwork until I climbed with these shoes. I would recommend these to anyone who wants to move into a more aggressive shoe.

Edge Masters

These are incredible shoes for the smallest of edges. So far I've put in about 7.5 hours in them training in my home gym. I had previously had a pair if the New Zero Pros before and I loved them too. The main differences I can see are that the Free Range Pro are vastly better for standing on small feet and lack a little on the parkour style volumes. Whereas the New Zero Pros are the opposite, they truly shine on the volumes but I found I couldn’t quite trust my feet on the tricky slabs. Honestly in a perfect world get a pair of both and you will be golden. Both shoes are very comfy which is very important while still being precise. The rubber is sticky and I recommend them for anyone looking to level up their shoe game. TAKEHOLD with the So ill shoes.

After a couple uses they are feeling nice and broken in. The Dark Matter rubber mixed with the down turn makes you feel comfortable all over the wall, especially on smaller chips. I was worried they would be too aggressive for routes with no overhang, but realistically they can be used as a work horse anywhere!

Pro Performance

The Free Range Pro was reimagined and designed in partnership with Toshi Takeuchi to be a go-to maximum performance workhorse.
